Supplement advice: Creatine
Creatine.
Creatine is found naturally in the body, dominantly in the cells of your muscles. It is usually supplemented to help improve performance during heavy lifting or high-intensity workouts, it is also shown to improve strength/performance and help you gain muscle. When you supplement creatine you increase your stores of phosphocreatine which helps you produce more of a high-energy molecule called ATP (Adenosine triphosphate) When you have more ATP available your body can perform better during exercise. Creatine can also aid recovery time by altering cellular processes. It is recommended you take 5g a day, you’ll find lots of different types of creatine out there but creatine monohydrate is the most popular and well-tested creatine on the market. Creatine is also found naturally in small amounts in some foods such as different kinds of fish and meat. Supplements aren’t vital for living a healthy life and won’t be beneficial for everyone. Only take supplements if you have done your own research and feel like it would benefit you before adding anything to your diet.
